Privacy policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
The short version: Care Considered collects very little, doesn't sell your information, and doesn't require an account to use.
What we collect
You can browse the entire site without giving us any personal information. We collect personal data only when you choose to provide it:
- Contact form: if you send us a message, we store the name, email, and message you submit so we can read and respond to it.
- Newsletter (if/when offered): if you subscribe, we store your email to send the newsletter; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Standard server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes basic request data (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse.
What we don't do
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not run advertising trackers or cross-site profiling. Provider listings, ratings, and research on this site come from public CMS and Census data — not from tracking you.
How we use what you provide
Only to do the thing you asked for — respond to your message, or send the newsletter you requested. We may use aggregate, non-identifying usage information to improve the site.
Third parties
Our site links to official government resources (CMS, Medicare, the Eldercare Locator) and other organizations; their privacy practices are their own. We use Cloudflare for hosting and, if we send email, a reputable email provider — each processes data only to provide that service to us.
Children
Care Considered is intended for adults arranging care and is not directed to children under 13; we don't knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
You can use the site without providing any personal data, unsubscribe from any email we send, and contact us to ask what we hold about you or to request deletion.
Changes & contact
We'll update this page if our practices change, with a new date above. Questions about privacy? Reach us through our contact page. Care Considered is published by Own the Answer, LLC.
